DONT tell an italian that you like pineapple pizza😓

This week was one of the most eventful weeks I've had but also the most tired of been in probably all my mission

We started the week in a school in Roma with a class of kids learning English. We got invited to practice English with the students and present why we are here in Italy. We told them about our families, the temple in Rome and how the trinity is a hypocrisy😏 that blew their minds but what really blew there minds was that I told them I hate pineapples on pizza ahaha I said pineapple pizza is SCHIFO and they started clapping for me!

We decided to take a giro (tour) of La Sabina and talk to people and put posters up and it was a lot of fun. There was one little town called Fara in Sabina and it was 30 minutes straight up a hill and the view was crazy🤩 there was another amazing view from a members yard. It was literally my dream home! We ate carbonara and fried chicken and had a good time

One fun though this week was how blessed we are to have the restored church. It's a sad thought to think of our lives without it and an even sadder thought that most people in the world can't enjoy the same blessings. Good thing we can always invite others to partake of these blessings too😁

Italian for the week: le scarpe means shoes

Another week down in quarantine🥵 its good news however because today we got out and could go to the temple!! It was the second time I could baptize someone in behalf of the dead and it was so fun. To say the least, the spirit was present.

I was so terrified hahah because the German sister in the district brought family names and it was so freaking hard to pronounce each name. I did have a lot of fun with the name hembeuger (it was something like that) because I just said hamburger with a silly German accent😅

We absolutely grinded this week despite the covid situation and that we couldn't go to church the past 2 weeks. We actually stayed very busy and saw some success. Here's maybe a little baby success/mircale:

Tubi, our friend from the Congo, has absolutely loved church the last two weeks and loves the members and sister in the district that speaks French but most importantly loves Christ so we got a call this week after church and Tubi told the sisters that he wants to be baptized. This was good news. Tonight we have a lesson and we are going to set a date soon🤞🙌 UPDATE (this is after the lesson) date is set for July 16 and he's so excited!! It was so fun to hear him speak French with the Canadian sister because he understands French a lot better than English

I really liked 3 Nephi 18 this week... "ye should come unto me, that ye might feel and see". I just thought this week of all the things we can see and feel because of Jesus Christ. We can feel his love when the world seems against us and we can see where we are going after this life. Its crazy to think of how blessed we are because of his sacrifice. Christ really needs to be the center of our lives but it's our choice if to come unto him.

Italian for the week: 😶‍🌫️i fagioli means beans

Ho appena scoreggiato😫

This week was pretty fun but also not. We got covid so I haven't seen the sun in about 4 days.

My companion is warming up to my silly goofy mood so that's good news. In fact, he'll share some of his jokes too

My favorite question to ask everyone is which swear word is their favorite. Email me back and tell me what one is your favorite

I love the gospel and I love the opportunity to share it with others. I've been in La Sabina for almost 5 months and it's fun to see how far we've come, the people we've met and how closer we've grow to Christ. It isn't much (an honest man's work) but I read in Alma 37:6 today that "by small and simple things that great things are brought to pass". It's hard sometimes to see the value of our actions while in the moment but the Lord really does recognize our efforts and use small and simple things (us) to bring great things to pass!

Italian for the week: ho scoreggiato means I farted

You're wise words of encouragement would be highly favored in these long days of isolation

Yours sincerely,

Yall wanna learn a bad word in English?

My new comp (Anziano Richards of Portaland Oregan) and I were weekly planning outside... just asking for trouble with a sign we brought that says "talk to us, we are learning Italian" (in Italian obviously) so a couple of rotten kids (rotten as they come) came and talked to us. Hahah turns out they were super nice and we kinda just messed with them for like 45 minutes.

At one point, the man kid points to the book of mormon, grabs it, and starts reading about Nihor🤣 it made me laugh (the selfie is the moment he started repeating Nihors name)

I asked them if they wanted to learn a bad word in English so I taught them the word shushkabob.

Also my comp taught them how to dap up. It overall was a very fun haha
