Our friends, the Shipleys, were vacationing in Rome.

They asked about Carson and we said "No chance you will see him. He's an airplane ride away from Rome on an island"

Well, Carson had a mission conference THE DAY the Shipleys were there at the temple.

 Another crazy week and I'm about it for sure. We had the chance to go to Rome for a mission conference with Elder De Feo

After MLC, we had about 6 hours until our plane so we got to do a temple session and it was so good. I'm excited to be able to go more often

Once we got home, we've been seeing lots of momentum (slancio) and ended up being let in 2 homes in about 45 minutes and then on Sunday, nobody was home as we door knocked so we headed to a park and ended up finding a sick family 👪 hopefully they can pull through and keep meeting us

 What a crazy week. Lots of door knocking and some crazy miracles

We went out knocking and magically got in an apartment complex without problems and on almost each of the 7 floors, some one told us to come back so we're excited because in the apartment complex next door, there was a young couple that said the missionaries would pass by when the lady was a kid and the mom would let them in so she said once we come back, they'll hear our message😄

On Monday, these 17 year olds look through the door peep hole and you can hear them say "Jehovahs Witnesses" and start laughing so we cleared up the confusion and they actually let us in. We taught a full restoration to 5 17 year olds and it was way fun then...

The next floor down, a lady answered and immediately roasted us saying we worship this Mormon guy so Im like "hold up gorl listen to this verse" and then she was "ok come in, I don't want you standing out there". In the end, she was insanely catholic and is the young womans president basically in her church but still fun to enter

On Tuesday we needed to be humbled and the second door we knock the guy opens and immediately slammed it saying "absolutely not" then opens again just to say "who let you in youre not authorized to be here get out I'm the police". Hahhqh I thought long and hard about yelling "we are only Jehovahs witnesses" and then running away but I think the spirit constrained me

I'm excited because we are flying into Napoli and then training to Rome to go to a mission conference. I'll let yall know more next week🥳

  Sweet email from the Senior Couple in Carsons area...

Dear Brother and Sister Lewis. I wanted to reach out and introduce ourselves. We are Elder and Sister Tietjen and are the Senior couple here on the Island of Sardinia. We have been here for just over a year and are stationed in Oristano. We are from Sandy Utah and have 3 kids, 2 sons and a daughter. My wife served in the Italy Rome mission 40 + years ago and I served in Hong Kong. Yes, I am trying to learn Italian but it is slow going. We love the opportunity to serve with Elder Lewis here on the island. We have been so impressed with him and have really been amazed by his dedication and testimony. He is a great Zone leader and he and his new companion are doing good things here in Sardinia. If there is anything we can do for your son while we are here, or if there are any questions you may have about anything, please let us know.

This week was wild! I got my new companion and had lots of transfer travel. Not super exciting waking up at 5 in the morning to drive people to the train station but we are of good cheer regardless🏋‍♂️

On Thursday, I got to go to a lesson with the Anziani to a part member family and the goal was to get her to pray. At the beginning she told us that one of their baby turtles (Luigi) died and that the other one (Mario) isn't doing to good. She was pretty distraught but it was all goods because we asked her to say a prayer for Mario so she picked him up and at first we thought she was giving it a blessing but she just said a sweet prayer🐢 mission accomplished🙏

Yesterday before English class, we were door knocking and there was an 80 year old that let is in and was gassed up to have us hahah but then he couldn't decided if he wanted us to come back or not hahah like bro were gonna come back whether you want it or not

It rained today so we went to the mall and played 4 games of bowling. I had a career high of 136 with 4 strikes🙏💪

I only have 2 months left😔

 What a week! It was the last week with my companion before he goes home so the members treated us real nice🤩 some highlights of the week:

- 4 member meals in the last week

- a naked lady opened the door while door knocking in Sassari

- we got caught in a storm while walking and got drenched

- Had the best lasagna ive eaten and vescovos house. Then we got tiramisù🥵

- At one of the member meals, we ate pig brain

On our exchange, we were talking to 2 Nigerians and one asked how he and is family could go to America. "A plane is your best bet" is what I told him and his friend ate up the joke but he didn't think it was very funny

Not much longer left on the mission but I'm making the most of it
